Now reading: The Way of Agape
My wife and I are part of a small group working through the book The Way of Agape: Understanding God's Love by Chuck & Nancy Missler. Here's what jumped out at me this week:
As imperfect humans God expects us to fail. When we fail He forgives us (if we will repent and ask Him), and then He uses our failures, mistakes and errors to draw us closer to Him (and in the process become more like the person He wants us to be). Too many times we think God expects perfection of us and when we fail we allow our failure to come between us and God because in our own minds we have become less of that person He wants us to be.
